(It is thought to have its origins in China over 4,000 years ago.) The Charlestown design is three sheets of dainty, floral sprigs in pink and green. While truly an international endeavor, I named all of the gift wrap sheets in the collection for favorite places in New England. The block print pattern on these sheets reminded me of the always beautiful and stately, Charlestown. A pre-Revolutionary suburb of Boston, Charlestown brims with its own orderly and tasteful charm...full of row houses, brick facades, and towering chimneys.
