These are not sheets printed from an original, handmade design, but are actually hand marbled by artisans using a centuries old technique. (Marbling dates back to the 12th century.) The Marblehead design is three sheets of dramatic, marbled wrapping paper in swirling colors of red, green, white, and metallic gold and silver. The marbling is done on luxurious, handmade, 100% cotton paper. By wrapping truly distinctive and stunning presents this Christmas season, you are also celebrating the artists who create them!

While truly an international endeavor, I named all of the gift wrap sheets in the collection for places in New England whose Christmas splendor always has my heart. The marbling on these sheets reminded me of the endpapers to old, leather bound books...slightly old school, yet slightly modern too. And with that, I thought of Marblehead, Massachusetts, a charming community of stately homes with a best of old, New England feel.
